MOSCOW, December 19 (RIA Novosti) - Most Russians (58%) believe that Russia is closest in its culture and lifestyle to European countries, according to a nationwide poll conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).

The survey found that 13% of respondents associate Russia in its culture and lifestyle with Asian countries (India and China) and 7% with the United States.

Of those polled, 30% said they found Germany's political and social structure to be the most successful. Germany was followed by the United States (23%), Japan (19%), Britain (17%), and France and China (with 12% each).

In the 18-24 age group, 36% of respondents said Germany's political and social structure was the most successful, while 29% of this category cited the United States.

The survey was conducted on December 3-4 and included 1,594 people from 153 towns and cities in 46 regions, territories, and republics of Russia, with a 3.4% margin of error.
