Russia to restore space missile warning system - official

Moscow, 6 April: Russia is planning to restore the space segment of the missile attack warning system, head of the Federal Space Agency Anatoliy Perminov told journalists in Moscow on Wednesday [6 April].

"In terms of industry, these programmes have been provided for. Funding has been increased in 2005," Perminov said when asked about the prospects of creating spacecraft for the missile attack warning system.

Perminov said measures are now being taken in terms of organization and production to raise the reliability and durability of space hardware.
