Foreign special services interested in studying Beslan
MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Members of foreign special services have studied
the methods used in handling the Beslan school siege, Federal Security Service
Chief Nikolai Patrushev told reporters on Friday.
"Representatives of special services came here and asked for permission to
familiarize themselves with materials relating to that operation. We have
provided them with access to that information. They traveled to the scene, made
evaluations, and we will surely listen to what they have to say," Patrushev
said.
The special services of several countries have recently intensified the
exchange of experience in the fight against terrorism, Patrushev said. Three
international conferences have been held in Russia, which involved
representatives of the special services and law enforcement agencies of over
eighty countries, he said.
"We are exchanging experience. We are borrowing the positive things that they
have, and they are using our experience, as well," he said. |
