Russia's Mutual Funds Industry: "A Matter of
Increasing the Pie." A Harvard Symposium Interview.
In his interview to the U.S.-Russian Investment Symposium, Andrei Uspensky,
Chief Executive Officer of one of Russia's leading asset management companies
PIO GLOBAL, shares his insights about Russia's mutual funds industry and the
future of Russia's pension reform. To read the interview, please go to http://www.usris.org
Russia's mutual funds industury is young, and by U.S. standards, tiny: two
thirds of the industry have been registered in the past year and a half, and the
total amount of assets under management barely reaches $400 million.
But the industry is growing fast, and the pension reform, which is currenlty
passing through the Duma, is expected to propel the industry forward in
significant ways.
What are the trends in Russia's mutual funds industry? What is the industry
expecting from the pension reform? What is it doing to educate the Russian
consumers about the risks and benefits of having their retirement money managed
by a private firm? For a detailed look at these questions, please go to http://www.usris.org/index.v3page?p_v=pg&p=34053
