Subject: US Participation in the Moscow Air Show
Date: Mon, 11 Aug 2003

Hi David,

As a Russophile, I thought you might like to know that for the first time ever, the US is sending Department of Defense military aircraft to participate in the Moscow Air Show (19-24 Aug 03). This is a huge military-to-military contact event and certainly historic does not come close to describing it. For almost a year now, I have been a project officer at USAFE (US Air Forces in Europe) for the show. We have quite the array of aircraft programmed to attend; a B-52, C-130, KC-135, F-16CJ and F-15E will be sitting as static displays and an F-15C will perform an aerial demo each day. This really is very exciting. The opportunities to forge new ties between our two countries are numerous!

Anyway, I thought you might find that interesting.
