OPEC reports Russia ranked second for oil export during
1991-2001
VIENNA, July 16 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia is ranked second for the export of oil and petroleum products in the period from 1991 till 2001, a statement of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Wednesday. The amount of oil exported by Russia is not specified in the statement. Saudi Arabia is on the top of the list. The oil export of the country including crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied natural gas amounted to 7.5 million barrels a day on the average for the last decade. Russia, Norway, Venezuela, Iran, Great Britain, Nigeria, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Iraq, Kuwait, Holland, Algeria, Libya, the United States, Oman, Singapore, South Korea and Indonesia follow in the list. The foresaid 20 countries account for about 80 percent of oil export. These countries supplied 40,269 million barrels a day from 51,821 million barrels a day on the world market in 2001.
