Braverman says govt may reconsider some privatization deals

MOSCOW, July 17 (Prime-Tass) -- Russia's Property Relations Ministry does not rule out the possibility that some post-Soviet privatization deals may be revised, First Deputy Property Relations Minister Alexander Braverman told reporters after a government meeting Thursday.

"We should distinguish between privatization results as a whole and certain privatization deals," he explained referring to Prime Minister Kasyanov's earlier statement that privatization results are not to be revised.

He said it is necessary to look into the details of individual deals but it should be done carefully to avoid a considerable decline of the stock market.

But he said that "there will not be a nationalization" of the privatized companies.
