Poverty, rising prices, unemployment largest concerns of Russians - poll

MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - Russians see impoverishment of the majority of residents, rising prices and unemployment as the most acute problems in the country.

   This information was obtained in a poll of over 2,000 respondents conducted by the All-Russia Center for Public Opinion Studies in January.

   Fifty-six percent of respondents said that impoverishment of the majority of Russian residents was the No. 1 problem.

   Forty-eight percent of respondents said that rising prices were the No. 2 problem, while forty-four percent were concerned about unemployment.
