Three parties have chance to be elected to State Duma
so far - poll
MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - The United Russia and Communist Parties have almost equal chances at upcoming parliamentary elections, according to a Public Opinion foundation poll.
The public survey conducted on February 15-16 showed that 22% of Russians would vote for the United Russia party, while 21% said they would support the Communist Party.
The Liberal Democratic party may also receive 5% of votes, while all other parties and movements would not be able to obtain the required minimum to take State Duma seats.
Five percent said they would vote against all of the parties, 13% said they do not plan to go to polling stations, while another 23% had not yet decided whom they would support.
About 65% of those polled said they intend to vote in the parliamentary elections in December 2003.
