Unified Russia, Communist Party enjoy most support - Poll

MOSCOW. Jan 23 (Interfax) - If State Duma elections were held next Sunday, Unified Russia and the Communist Party would receive the largest number of votes.

Each of these parties would obtain about 24% of the vote, according to information posted on the Public Opinion Foundation's website on Thursday

The Yabloko and the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) would also meet the a 5% minimum to receive seats in the parliament, with about 6% each.

Next are the Union of Right Forces (SPS) and the Agrarian Party, which would get 3% each.

The poll also showed that 5% of the respondents would vote "none of the above," 11% would not vote, and 17% were undecided.

The poll, which sampled 1,500 people, was held in 100 towns in 44 of Russia's regions.
