Most Russians do not rule out possibility of new terrorist attacks in the country - poll

MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Most Russian citizens (82%) believe that the seizure of hostages in a Moscow theater is linked to the activities of international terrorism. About 14% expressed the opposite opinion and 4% were undecided, according to a poll.

The poll was conducted by the Monitoring.ru group of companies among over 1,500 Russian citizens on October 24-28.

Most Russians (88%) did not rule out that the hostage crisis in Moscow may be followed by more terrorist attacks in the country. About 10% of respondents disagreed and 4% were undecided.

According to the poll, the possibility of new terrorist attacks was mentioned most often by respondents from the Far Eastern Federal District (84%), the South Federal District (60%), the Siberian Federal District (54%) and the Urals Federal District (53%).

Men (54%), more often than women (52%), spoke about the possibility of new terrorist attacks.
