The expectations regarding the U.S. Russia relations after the first face-to-face meeting between Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev and U.S. President Barack Obama are running high. However, the issues facing both countries are so daunting and the accumulated mutual mistrust is so overwhelming that both sides have to quickly follow up with some concrete actions to build a positive momentum and achieve dramatic breakthroughs in this troubled relationship.

An impressive group of leading American and Russian experts, including top government officials, members of Congress and Duma, businessmen, and scholars will present the agenda for moving U.S. Russia relations from confrontation to the strategic partnership and alliance.

By participating in this important event you can directly interact with these experts and contribute to the process by bringing your own ideas, specific proposals, and participation in the discussions.

Among the confirmed speakers (in alphabetical order) are such well known personalities as Anatoly Aksakov - Deputy Chairman of the Banking and Finance Committee of the Russian State Duma; Georgiy Bovt Co-Founder of the Party “The Right Cause”; Undersecretary of State William Burns, former U.S. Ambassador to Moscow; U.S. Senator from South Carolina Jim DeMint; General Vladimir Dvorkin of the Institute of World Economics and International Relations; Marshall Goldman of Harvard University; Russian Ambassador to Washington Sergei Kislyak; Andrew Kuchins of the Center for Strategic and International Studies; Robert Legvold of Columbia University and American Academy of Arts and Sciences; Robert McFarlane - National Security Advisor to President Reagan; Wayne Merry - former senior State Department and Pentagon Official representing Coalition for a Realistic Foreign Policy; Andranik Migranyan of the Institute of Democracy and Cooperation; Igor Panarin from the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry; Gleb Pavlovsky - President of the Effective Policy foundation; Thomas Pickering - former Undersecretary of State and U.S. Ambassador to Moscow; Sergei Rogov Director of Institute of USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences; David Satter of John’s Hopkins University; Sergei Tsekov - Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and many others.
