MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has demanded that any regional and municipal decision concerning small and medium business must be brought in compliance with federal laws in the near future.

"They keep inventing silly things to take away money from businessmen. They are changing petty requirements monthly, and these petty requirements make business conditions unfavorable," he told the government on Monday.

Putin agreed that there must be no unnecessary police checks of small and medium companies.
