Russia To Switch To Market-based Energy Prices With All
Partners In 2-3 Years - Lavrov
MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - Russia plans to switch to market-based prices on
energy with all its partners within the next two or three years, Russian Foreign
Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
Russia "has agreed upon approaches with all of them, which should drive us to
fully market-based principles of pricing within the next two or three years,"
Lavrov said at the State Duma on Wednesday.
The transition to market-based prices will be gradual, he said.
"We have long made it clear that our ultimate goal is the construction of a
market-based economy within the country and a transition to market principles in
relation to all of our current partners," he said.
