EVENT REMINDER:
"Is Russia Entering the Post-Putin Era?"
March 03 2008, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Thomas Graham, Senior Director, Kissinger Associates, and former Special
Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russian Affairs, National
Security Council
Russia could be on the verge of an historic event: a young, energetic, popular leader is preparing to yield supreme power to a successor, in accordance with a written constitution. But will President Putin in fact yield power to Dmitry Medvedev, the overwhelming favorite to win Russian presidential elections on March 2? And, if Putin yields power but seeks to stay on as a major political figure, how will that impact on President Medvedev and Russia's ability to meet the challenges, geopolitical, political, and economic, of the next several years? Tom Graham, former senior director for Russia on the NSC staff, will address these and other issues.
