About the Films:
"Three Comrades"
Ruslan, Ramzan and Islam are friends growing up in Grozny, listening to Western
rock and making lifelong plans. But their lives change forever as they are
caught up in the war. Two of the young men never see their 30th birthdays and
the third is wrongfully convicted of terrorism and forced to flee his homeland.
“White Ravens”
Kiril and Petya are two Russian 18-year-olds who are sent off to Chechnya as
soldiers in the beginning of the 1999 war. The film follows their return from
the war and struggle to fit into a society that refuses to acknowledge that the
war in Chechnya exists.
