Interfax

Tbilisi, 21 October: All Russian websites became accessible to Georgian users on Tuesday (21 October).

The Georgian media report that they have not been initiators of disabling Russian websites.

On 9 August, Georgian National Security Council Secretary Aleksandre Lomaia said that it had been decided to switch off Russian TV stations carrying news. A day later, Russian websites were disabled in Georgia.

Georgian Minister of State for Reintegration Temur Iakobashvili said in connection with this that it was his initiative, as "Russia is waging information war against Georgia".
