Subject: Volume published in Moscow
Recently in Moscow was published the volume of 600 pages which combines my
four Soviet books published in 1970s.I would dare to say that these four books
until now are used by students in Russia as textbooks on various methodological
issues. Besides the volume contains a lot of data collected in my surveys in the
1960-70s which never were published before. The volume also includes my long
interview with Boris Doktorov, a well-known Russian sociologist, "My life as a
sociologist :there and here". This interview aroused stormy debates in Russia.
Parts of the interview were published in sociological journals such as "Sotsialnaia
realnost" (Moscow ) and "Telelsko" (SPB) .
Here is the title of the volume: Vladimir Shlapentokh, The quality of
sociological information:validity, representativness and prognostic potential.
Moscow:Zentr sozialnogo prognozirovania, 2006 (in Russian).
