Subject: New Moscow weekly [New Times]
Date: Tue, 20 Feb 2007

The JRL family will be interested to learn that a new weekly magazine, devoted primarily to politics and economics, and intended to reach a large audience, has appeared in Moscow. Bearing a familiar name from an earlier day, New Times, the magazine's staff features many well-known names: Irina Lesnevskaya (publisher), Raf Shakirov (general editor), Olga Romanova (economics editor), and Yevgeniya Albats (politics editor). The first issue ran two major themes, the Litvinenko murder and what the magazine calls "Operation: Successor - 2008." An on-line version of the magazine is available at: www.newtimes.ru

As I understand it, the editors would welcome submissions from JRL regulars.
