I'm happy to let you know that my book, "Banking on Small Business: Microfinance in Contemporary Russia," has recently been published by Cornell University Press. The book analyzes the development of the Russian banking sector and entrepreneurship in Russia over the past 20 years to provide context for the current state of Russian microfinance and the lessons that Russia provides for microfinance development elsewhere in the world. The impetus for writing the book came from my experiences with KMB Bank, a bank founded by the EBRD and other donors to lend to Russian micro and small businesses.
