Four Parties Get Most Airtime On Federal Television News Programs

MOSCOW. Oct 15 (Interfax) - The Communist Party, United Russia, the Liberal Democratic Party and Fair Russia have the lion's share of airtime on federal television news programs, the Russian Election Technology Center said in comments on its September monitoring.

The Communist Party leads with 22%, United Russia ranks second with 21%, and the Liberal Democratic Party and Fair Russia have 17% each, the center said.

The Civil Force and the Patriots of Russia have 5% each, while the Democratic Party and Yabloko have 4%.

The Union of Right Forces has 3%; the Social Justice Party, the Agrarian Party and the People's Union have 2%; and the Greens have 1%.

The Party of Russian Revival and the Party of Peace and Unity have no airtime.

As to other types of federal television programs, the Communist Party also led the list with 22%.

The Liberal Democratic Party has 21%, Yabloko - 20%, and United Russia - 14%.

The Union of Right Forces has 8%, Fair Russia - 5%, and the Civil Force - 4%.

The Democratic Party, the People's Union and the Greens have 2% each.
