Young Guards Polling Muscovites To Detect Most Corrupt
Russian Agencies
MOSCOW. Aug 6 (Interfax) - United Russia Party's Young Guards movement will
conduct a poll on corruption in Russia in Moscow from Monday to Friday this
week.
"The poll is being conducted in order to detect the most corrupt agencies and
departments, and to determine the appropriate measures needed to tackle this
social evil," the youth organization said in a statement released on Monday.
The poll is being conducted by the Young Guards Moscow headquarters on
Pushkinskaya, Manezhnaya, Slavyanskaya, Komsomolskaya, Teatralnaya squares, as
well as on Tverskaya, Prospekt Mira and other streets as part of an
anti-corruption program, the statement says.
Respondents will be asked two questions: "Where, in your opinion, are bribes
most often taken?" and "Which anti-corruption method do you think is the most
efficient?"
The data received during the poll will be sent to Moscow city legislative and
executive bodies and published in the media, the press release says.
"United Russia's Young Guards Moscow branch calls on Muscovites to smash
attempts by corrupt officials to benefit at the public's expense. We are calling
for transparency and openness!" it said.
