The three "Windows on Eurasia" I prepared and distributed this morning are the last I will be sending out. In September 2004, after retiring from the civil service, I began to prepare these articles on developments and opinions in Eurasia that I felt had received insufficient attention in the West. Over the past two years, first from Tartu and Tallinn in Estonia and more recently from Vienna (in Virginia, not Austria!),I have distributed nearly 1,000 of these messages, and I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have continued the conversation either by providing insights or pointing out my mistakes. This has been a labor of love, but for a variety of personal reasons, I must now focus on other things. As I end this series, I want to express my best wishes for the peoples of Eurasia and for those who study them. Paul Goble.
