Subject: Film on Tunguska Meteorite
Readers of the JRL in the UK might like to know that our documentary film about
the Tunguska Meteorite is being repeated on Tuesday, 29th September on More4 at
10pm. The film is called Close Encounters in Siberia and is not so much a
science documentary as a strange and fascinating account of particular time and
place in Russian and Soviet history. The film was shot in Siberia during the
centenary celebrations of the Tunguska Meteorite, in June/July 2008. It is
directed by George Carey, who was also the reporter and film cameraman.
