Georgian Foreign Minister Threatens Abkhaz Leader With Jail

TBILISI. Sept 2 (Interfax) - Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze has refused to comment on Abkhaz leader Sergei Bagapsh's warning that Abkhazia would destroy Georgian military vessels if they enter what he called Abkhaz territorial waters.

"Bagapsh is a criminal, and it is the prosecution authorities that should react to his statements. Criminals must be put in a Georgian jail, and this will certainly happen," Vashadze told Georgian journalists on Wednesday.
