Serious progress made in probes of high-profile crimes in North Caucasus-Chaika

MOSCOW. July 24 (Interfax) - Serious progress has been made in the
authorities' investigations of the attack on Ingushetia's President
Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and the murders of Dagestan Interior Minister
Adilgerei Magomedtagirov and human rights activist Natalia Estemirova,
Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika told Interfax on Friday.

"The investigations of these crimes have good prospects. In my
opinion, we are handling the inquiry into the assassination attempt of
President of Ingushetia Yevkurov well. Serious progress has also been
made in the investigation of the murder of interior minister of
Dagestan. Active work is underway regarding Estemirova's killing,"
Chaika said.
