Russians don't think much of George W. Bush - opinion poll

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Over 50% of Russian respondents in a recent opinion survey said they had a negative opinion of U.S. President George W. Bush, and only 15% said they liked him.

According to the survey by Public Opinion Foundation, which polled 1,500 Russians on October 16, 79% of respondents are well-informed about the November 2 presidential elections in the United States.

The poll suggested 40% of the respondents knew the candidates' names: 12% think that Democrat candidate John Kerry's victory would be preferable to Russia, while 8% spoke in George W. Bush's favor, and 9% said it's of no consequence to them who would win.
