No plans to revise privatization results in Russia - Putin

ROME. Nov 6 (Interfax) - There are no plans to go back on privatization in
Russia, President Vladimir Putin told a news conference in Rome following
the end of the Russia-EU summit on Thursday.

Russia's economic policy has not changed, Putin said.

"I say officially that the Yukos case will not lead to revision of the
Russian Federation's policy in the economic or political sphere," he said.

"There are no plans of this kind. Our action is guided by the desire to
instill law and order in the country and have everybody abide by the law
and fight corruption," Putin said.

There are always two sides involved in corruption, those who take and those
who offer bribes, he said.

Western businesses are the hardest hit by corruption in Russia because they
do not have their own people or ties in executive agencies, Putin said.
