#1 WASHINGTON, DECEMBER 5, 2002 /FROM RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT ARKADY ORLOV According to the study's data, 85 per cent of the polled Russians confessed that Vladimir Putin's work at the presidential post is "a good influence" on the country. The runner-up is George Bush whose work at the presidential post was supported by 71 per cent of Americans. The study also points out that President of France Jacques Chirac is supported by 62 per cent of the French, and UK Prime Minister Tony Blair by 52 per cent of Britons. Among other world leaders, the Prime Minister of India and President of Mexico Vicente Fox are also enjoying considerable support (two thirds of the polled Indians and Mexicans declared to support them). According to the results of the study, the leaders of Guatemala, Peru and Argentina are least of all supported in their countries where less than 25 per cent of citizens are positively assessing their work.
