he Owyhee Canyonlands in the southwest corner of Idaho is the largest area of land without a paved road in the continental United States. Dramatic canyons cut through the high, flat plateau. It is a pristine wilderness in a nation where such undisturbed beauty is now rare. It is a priceless heritage of the West and of America. But this land is also the site of a raging battle. The Air Force wants to use this land for its newest bombing range.
